LMC trucks has a 12 circuit harness for $149.00 in their catalog. The catalog I have is for a 1957 truck.

Has anyone used one of the "painless" harness to wire an 80 Luv?
Just would like to hear if anyone ran into any problems or maybe just simple modifications.

Zane,

I used one from EZ Wiring, basically the same as painless, to redo my 80, it was a pretty basic swap, you will need to add a wire going to the tail lights and a couple other things. I did it about 3 years ago (sheesh where does the time go) the one thing I liked about EZ was the customer support. They had me email them my wiring schematic and walked me through any issues. Very good customer service.

Thanks Chad,

That glad you included the part on customer service. Sounds like a good company. One wierd electric componet my 80 has is the Engine Speed sensor, does your Luv have that? It's near the gas pedal. I have a post on why my regulator fuse keeps blowing, and one of the wires runs to the Engine Speed sensor. Isn't electrical fun? LOL
