 Post subject: 1.8 carb

I have a 72 luv with the 1.8 isuzu and i need a carb for it to run right i would appreciate it if anyone could help me find one thanx

have you tried to rebuild and clean yours?

I have one but it needs rebuilt most likely... although the engine was running before the bottom end fell apart... I am not sure how it was running prior to this because thats how I bought it.

i believe that it is the wrong carb because the linkage that goes to the accelerator pump does not allow the accelerator pump to give more fuel when ithe throttle is fully engaged and it just bogs down when you try to put it in gear and take off

I hate to tell you this but the stock carbs on all of the LUV's suck at best. Very few people have any luck rebuilding them, your money is better spent on a Weber replacement.

well sir you can add me too the list of people who HAVE gotten them to work... i dont mean to toot my own horn, but toot toot :D, and he is right you should just go weber, thats my plan as soon as i get my weber rebuilt.. and working right...
