Listen, I am a factory Mitsubishi mechanic trained at the U.S. Mitsu headquarters in Cypress California. I own several Mitsu's including a 95 mighty max, 02 Diamante, 03 Diamante, 05 Lancer and a 04 Gallant. I doubt anyone on this site knows more then me on Mitsu's. With that in mind I would bet that your Lancer with ported and polished head will or would beat a EVO. I would also like to say that as a racer with many track championships street racing is a joke. When I race I want to race and win against the best, the best are not on the street, they are at the track. I have had several members here at my house and have seen with their own eyes the work I do and the race cars I put together for the track, like my last car with a 410 ci all aluminum engine, so I know what I am talking about. Some ricers are fast and most are a joke, but this is a site for Chevy LUV's, lets try to stay on track.

Good point, I'm with you, I'm a speeder not a street racer by the way. I just mobb freeways at 70 80 most of the time, somtimes I race, but not in the city, too many cops.

I like the part about spending $10,000 to make 350 horsepower from the one guy. This gives him a 160 mph top speed that he swears can beat Corvettes and Ferraris. And the other guy who said he and his MOTHER spent $10,000 to fix it up. LMAO.

spending 10k to make 350 hp, what fun is in that?

I have seen a POS vette that would run almost a buck fifty and he is saying he can out run a corvette with twice the hp and almost the same weight?

Here's another couple of links:

Crooked street racing ricer bastards...thats what they deserve for stealing parts - and buying or selling stolen parts - just to race in the streets.

Too bad - so sad...now the poor little ricers without their street racin' POS cars built from stolen parts will just have to go buy their stuff legit from now on and learn to drive legal...the bunch of freakin' losers.

Around here, if they catch you street racing, they take your ride, lock your butt up, and take away your driver's license. If the cops find out anything on your ride is stolen, you get charged with possesion of stolen property. And if your ride is not street legal, they charge you with that too.

People have got locked up with some serious cell block time for that stuff...and IMHO - they got what they deserved.

Too many innocent lives have already been lost from this crap - one of them being a younger step-brother of mine that was only 18.

He was standing in a McDonalds parking lot minding his own damn business when a young street racer's car collided with another innocent lady's car, jumped the curb, and landed right on top of him.

He barely survived long enough to get to the hospital, and the poor lady in the other car was severely banged up too.

Also, one of my daughter's co-workers and good friends that she went to high school with was killed when a street racer blew a stop light and t-boned his car while he was driving 2 of his buddies home from school.

They other 2 guys in his car got hurt and cut up pretty bad as well.

FFS...If you wanna race - then go take your butt to the track where that kind of stuff belongs. And if you wanna build somethin' - then go buy your parts legally and do it legit.

The lameass thieving street racing ricers are the reason a lot of us that have spent a lot of time on our trucks just to have something to do in our spare time, and to try to have a nice ride we can be proud of, are constantly getting hassled by the cops everywhere we drive them for no damn reason.

Personally, I wish they would crush them all and take their damn licenses away permanently. They just give car customizing a black eye, their cars all look and sound like crap, and they all can't drive them worth a damn.

So back in the day cops didn't fuck with hot rods??? Taz you are seriously one smart dude. you also seem to have way to much hate and time on your hands. Cops don't want to do any real work thats why they harass drivers, and flashy cars get noticed more.

and i'm an excellent driver. theirs too many of ricers, street racers, and imports to say none of us can drive for crap, because if that where the case there would be allot more accidents. Theres idiots and bad drivers in all sorts of cars.

Most cops are not lazy and just want to mess with people. Some officers have a beat that their department expects them to check on the modified vehicles. Please don't assume cops don't want to do any real work, with comment you are talking out of your ass, trust me I have good knowledge of what is expected out of officers.

Jinxie...anybody ever tell you it is better to have a lot of people think you are a fool - then to open your mouth and remove all doubts?

No...cops back in the day didn't hassle hot rodders much - because a lot of cops were hot rodders, and they knew that hot rodders worked hard and bought or hand-made all of their parts, didn't endanger lives by racing in the street around traffic, didn't have ridiculously loud stereos that annoyed people, and some police departments even sponsored local car shows and sponsored some cars at the local track.

And when a guy worked hard to build a mint-condition customized ride from scratch to show at custom car shows with his own money, he also had enough brains to not tear it up by racing it, had enough brains to not get it impounded or his license yanked, and had enough brains to not do something dumb that would land his butt in jail.

And if he built something to race, it got trailered back and forth to the local track, and if he wasn't working on it or racing it at the track, it wasn't moving.

But all cops have always been very hard-ass as hell on car and parts thieves, dumbasses that drive around too high or drunk, people that drive cars that are too loud, that drive around in cars that are a rolling POS, and lame-ass street racers.

So I guess not much has changed, huh?

Maybe if you throw your bong away and go back to school, then you might figure it all out some day.

BTW...if you want people to be able to understand your bong-inspired rambling, then maybe you should pick up and read a Hooked On Phonics book or two - or at least try to figure out what the hell the spellchecker is for...FFS.
