I have butchered my firewall to give me space enough to mount my engine now I must pay the piper and make the hole not such an eyesore. I attempted to fab a make-shift replacement but it looks horrid in my opinion.

I know there are individuals here who can probably weld this out of metal and make it look clean (not show quality perfect, just presentable and clean). I have money to pay if someone who wants to undertake this small project. I will send specs and even can send the mock-up piece I made for measurements if needed.

Please e-mail me at scott@hyperwrx.com if you are interested in making some money. We'll discuss and make arrangements. Thanks in advance. This forum has been the 1 stop place for help and ideas for me and I appreciate all the individuals who have given me advice. Thanks in advance.

Pictures for reference.

Where in AZ are you? I will be traveling to Phoenix in a month or so, I am pretty good with a welder and could offer references here on the site, several have seen my work or look up Karl Ott in the owner pic's. It is possible we might be able to work something out.

I am in the Phoenix area, Gilbert to be exact. I'd pay to have the item shipped rather than wait a month as I have to get this truck done by August.

Let me know.

Durn Hyper, why did you cut out the wall so big. You set the engine way back.

No choice. I am running a newer serpentine belt setup in the front and it forces me to push the motor back. About half my distributor is buried in the firewall. I figured that if I am going to cut it some I mine tis will cut it enough to make access to the spark plugs easy.

Before setting the engine all the way back.

Looks like I have a small project now, I shall do my best to fabricate this for you. I am only doing this because Ben is still on the fence about me finishing his truck

Hey Hyper why not set it for enough back noe to even get the dizzy out if you need to or would that be too far. Remember the old vans that had the cover on the inside. Not quite that far though LOL

I am thankful that Ben has decided to be indecisive about his truck at this point in time. Hahaha
