I have been buying parts for my 78 stock rebuild. I stumbled across a way to save a few bucks. For my small parts I use Napa or Kragen autoparts. I have been shopping online for the internal parts of the engine. Today I needed a water pump for the 78 so I went online to
http://www.partsamerica.com/default.aspx and priced a new GMB water pump. It was $26.99 and it said that one was in stock at my local Kragen parts store. I called them and they said it was $34.99 and I said it was cheaper online at partsamerica, he told me that since Kragen owned parts america they would match the price. So I went into the store and saved 8 bucks, that simple. I also did that with the main and rod brgs which were Clevite's, and saved $42.00 on them. If you have a Kragen in town check the parts america website and print the price and save money. I know it is not a real big amount but it is a saving.
