Do I run EFI/Turbo or Carb/Turbo?
EFI/Turbo (TBI = less work) 25%  25%  [ 1 ]
EFI/Turbo (MPI = more work) 50%  50%  [ 2 ]
Carb/Turbo (500cfm 4bbl edelbrock = least work) 25%  25%  [ 1 ]

So i was lookin at this EFI setup on an s-10, and wonder if mabye i could run it on my LUV (with a few mods of coarse), my ultimate goal is to turbo charge the stock engine and order the oh so famous G161 (aussie) head for my truck, but i wanna make sure that if i run TBI/Turbo that its being run right, i.e. enough fuel to prevent detonation due to too much air, if anyone has any advice please by all means let me know cause i really dont wanna mess this up.... Or i could run a Carb/Turbo setup i got the right stuff to do either i just wanna make sure that when i go to add the turbo it works right... either way will involve machine work to one of my extra intake/exhaust manifolds for the engine.... thanks all

Intercooled fuel injected turbo is the way to go. Blow thru carb turbos are old skool technology.

well how about you dont use cruddy GM injection technology, and buy the impulse FI intake that i have.

then itll just bolt on, and all youll have to do is hook up a computer to it.

:)

I'll try post some photos of injection intake for g180 g200 engines, my brother a mechanic has a big box full of em. He fits a lot of Jap import g180 g200 engines to Geminis/ I marks and pulls em of to fit the customers carby.

i still have the intake in the garage here. there was no computer for it when i bought it, but a megasquirt system could easily be adapted to work with it. shoot me a PM if you wanna know anymore.
