A friend of mine has a few old vehicles and asked me to drive one to the park for the show. I drove his 38 Chevy 1/2 ton. He basically found it just like this and put the eng. back together in it. He keeps it like this and drives it daily.

That's my buddies 55 1/2 ton in the back ground. It has a built straight 6 in it. Idles like a V8,(crazy cam in it) but when you rev it up, you know it's a 6. :D His dad bought it in about 57 and drove daily for 20 years. He bought a new 77 in 77 and drove it for another 20. This 55 has always been in their family.

Oh wow those things come with instruction manuals, so many knobs and pedals, Since i suck at drumming it would probably give me a migraine drinving uphill, in the rain, at night. i guess that crank on the dash is for the wipers. Lol you need like three hands
Like the T100 flying the chopper
En1 else catch that, he grew an extra hand to fire the gun out of the chopper or something

I know what you mean, but it isn't that bad. The extra button on the floor is for the starter. And the crank on the windshield is for what we call the A/C. It cranks out the bottom of the windshield. I think it has an electric wiper motor hanging down from the top.

That things cool. Has it been in your family a long time? I mean like was it your grandfathers or something?

My Dad has a 56 F100, but he bought it in 84. He wanted one in 56, but it took him 25 years to get one. :D

Very cool. That, to me, makes it that much more valuable. It needs to stay in the family forever. 8)

I had to drive a old drilling rig to Sacramento to a CalTrans museum and it had a double shifter Browning in it. I learned real fast on the back side of the grapevine how to shove my left arm threw the wheel and use both hands to shift. Never again.

Thats what I want in my dream, classic, old retired guy, truck some day.
I want a '66 Peterbilt conventional with a 2 stroke Detroit diesel with twin sticks. Probably something like a 5 speed with a 4 speed Brownie. But I have to get old and retire first. :D
You can't be playing the music or day dreaming when you're dealing with twin sticks, manual steering, and rubber pad rear suspension on a big truck. 8O

My first truck was a '49 Ford F1.
