My rear bearing is going out , anyone have any ideas on a fix, I looked up on the net to see if I can find one only to find front ones. How about an up grade does 5 speeds fit into a 1.8, Does anyone know where I can find a good trany, I am in Washington state west side So far I have found two Luv's for sale they dont want to part out, one for 250.00 and one for 400.00 both 76's. I also found a 80 but haven't talked to the owner just sittin in the yard.

5 speeds will fit. You can find one in izuzu pups, rodieos, and the impulse. If you have an older luv with the hydro cluch go with the impuse.

Try that, If That doesn't work try going to google.com, and go to images, and search for "izuzu impuse"

any thing prior 88 I beleave, and u will have an easyier time with a 76 or earlyer luv since they are set up for a hydrlic cluch, and 77 and later are cable cluch, also I think it has to be the non turbo model with the g200. also look at izuzu rodeo, or izuzu pup will have a g180 or g200 motor. And 76 and earlyer models are slightly differnt than later models of the engine. hope that helps.

i got an engine and 5 speed you could have if you wanted to come get it, but i'm a little far. inside the tranny looks clean, but the outside is covered in dirt. it's still attatched to the frame, but the body is off it.
