Ladies and Gentlemen,

I use that term accuratley because all of us here on LuvTruck are indeed that, we aim to help others in need and boast about accomplishments in this hobby. There should be no reason for confrentation between any of us. I have been on a few forums and I have left a few forums for the same reason. I don't understand why we all can not populate an area without having some sort of battle.

I remember posting when I first got here and saw a quarrel between two members "Why can't we all just get along", not making light of the situation, but simply stating we are all here for the same reason. Am I right ? We are all here for the hobby, love, modification, beautification, and restoration of LUV trucks. Opinions are opinions and everyone is intitled to have one, but not one with alterior motives that point fingers at those whom are trying to help others.

Recently I had been accused of some pretty rash things, when all I was trying to do is help out another LT member. I see this as a personal shot on me because who I am on this board is who I am. I live for working on cars and enjoy discussing the correct fashion to do so.

I am a fairly passive person, but if I am pushed too far I will stand up for what I know is right, and I think that this board (and every other board for that matter) should be conducted in the same manner. So for now I will keep my outlook, and I suggest everyone else does the same.

If someone has an opinion that differs from your own, let them, prove them false by truth and logic, by fact, not anger and low blows. I don't want to have to leave this board that is a geyser of superb information, and I don't want anyone else here to feel uncomfortable to see others fighting over something so trivial, and something that is supposed to be fun!

So I will return to my previous quote that still stands true:

"Can't we all just get along?"

Respectfully,
Austin

Your welcome, it is still a free country. Just be a little more cautious on what you say and whom you say it to. And don't look too far into it, there are a few others out there that this was meant for.

Thank you diarmadhim, the sig. has been changed to fit what I was trying to say, wrote that one a long time ago. And don't worry, this is all over nothing, you are missing exactly that, nothing.

I am speaking as a moderator, not as the site owner.

I generally have no problem with someone linking to another luv site, as long as it is not for the sole purpose of promoting it. Luvtruck does not have a monopoly on the chevy luv world.

That said, I have less of a problem if a regularly contributing member links to another site. Someone who joins and immediately starts directing people to their yahoo group or just says, "everyone come to my NEW luv board" will have their post removed. They can buy advertising.

That is my view, as a moderator. Ben or the other moderators may think differently.

Now, everyone play nicely.

One of the things I love about this site is the freedom to express yourself.

Luv Rush says, "We are all here for the hobby, love, modification, beautification, and restoration of LUV trucks."

That is our reason for being here. The thing is, we tend to get comfortable and want to hit on other topics. Sometimes those topics are annoying to others and disrespectful. I think if someone says offensive things to another, they ought to expect to hear from that person in this same forum. After all, who's reading any of this? LUV owners primarily, and we are a brotherhood, a camraderie of boys grown to men, (+ a few ladies) and ought to respect one another as having a common goal. So when some of us want to go to another subject, I think we can listen, but what results is others have something to say too. No one is correct to censure the others when they have instigated the topic. However, we all want to come here to read about LUV trucks, not wrangle words and post history. Every time we feel disappointment because someone seems unhappy with what is said here, it just slows down the fun and progress of this very excellent website and makes us stay away from doing what we all LUV.

I have no idea what the purpose (or the need) for this thread is, so here's a picture of a squirrel playing a harmonica...
