Finally got my ride running again I wish I would have posted my problems earlier with you guys would have saved me a couple $100 bucks. Flushed and lined the tank and running like a champ for a few days. Now the Damb GEN light is on!!! Book Says ALT but everything stays charged so not sure what else thought Id ask you guys for any Ideas before I go on another one of my F it replace everything rampages.

Is it on solid(bright) or kinda faded?

Mine did this for a while, even tho my gauge showed I had full charge and my charger show full charge I would still have hesitant starting and Gen light issues. Turns out my battery had a few dead cells. Gotta new battery, no more gen light. May want to have yours tested. Or do a real good cleaning job on the gen cable connections.

mine did that and the ground wire to the alternator was broke right at the attachment point but inside the wire cover about an inch up ... was the hardest thing to find,,, but vibration finally broke the wire but not the rubber sleeve

Could possibly be the Voltage Regulator. I had mine go out on my first Luv truck and it a) caused the Gen light to stay on and b) burned up a couple of alternators.

I think its a wire some where I was Driving to work today and the thing went off and my Temp gauge started to work again. Thw wire on my alt looks nasty too gonna check that out thanks for the tips.
