Im not doing the motor mounts yet... It will be done when that area is complete.

Once the bulk of the frame and crossmembers are coated the suspension will be next on the agenda.
My plan is the aerospace conversion, new steering components (tie rod ends, ball joints ect) and an s-10 rear end and some rims and rubber.

How do you like that bedliner stuff? I was thinking about grabbing me one of thoes Wal-Mart Kits and doing my Bed. It is like, $43 I think... seems pretty cheap.

Or should I get some ebay spray-on kit?

its looking really well... some side notes: its not paint but it goes on like paint, it dries VERY fast if you dump alot out of the can you can expect it to start getting hard with in 10-20 mins.

I probably shouldn't have painted where the upper a-arm shaft bolts up, there are shims that go there.... but its so far torn down that I'm not worried about it, besides Im going to use some different upper A-arms anyways.

is it pretty tough? I have holes in my bed, and I am wondering if I get something to cover it up with, and layer the top of it with this bedliner stuff, if it will fill the holes, and not break out as soon as I put something on top of them.

Ive only put one coat on for now... and it requires at least two coats... and the suggested thickness is 8 mils
I realize that some areas will need brackets or other fab work, like making the brackets/ braces for a fuel cell. I just dont want it to rust up on me.... and Ive still got atleast a second coat to put on it.
All and all... the stuff isnt bad, Ive already dropped light stuff on it and it didnt scratch, but anything heavier than my jack stands will put a scuff on it.

I'm starting on the front suspension now... and like I said.... things are going to go alot slower.

its a cheap one I picked up at terry's wholesale (harbor freight would be the same thing).
It holds 80 lbs of sand and is gravity feed. Its in the very first pic in the top right corner. Im sure its in some of the other pic's too.
I took the frame to the back yard and used a tarp and some pieces of wood to help trap and reuse the sand.

I dont plan on doing the body work... with the exception of some cutting off brackets and fabing anything that will have clearance issues..... Im planning on sending it out to a vo-tech and see if they will do it, plus paint it.

At least you have a garage for a garage. Cab on one side and frame on the other.
I have a two car laundry room, cat habitat, storage shed, hobby center, wifes car parking space, deep freezer room, and can goods pantry. And if I'm lucky I can pull something in for a little while and work on it. But it has to go out for the night so the wifes, no matter how dirty it is, car can go back in for the night.

Hey Ron, you saw my front garage, big enough for both of my wife's cars.

actually I built a small wood frame under the cab, at first it was just so I could take it off by myself. But I put some extra blocks under it and I can stick the jack under the frame and move the cab around because its pretty well balanced.

I push the frame up as close to the tool box as I can (the front of the frame is supported by a dolly laying down) and then slide the cab between the garage door and the frame... It fits perfectly so that I can still park my DD in the garage too.

The ONLY time Ive used more than myself was to move the bed to the back yard.... Other than that I am a one man band. Either my friends have health issues, or the people that are close to me dont seem too interested in "work".

Only if I cant do something by myself after a few days of trying to figure things out will I call on someone.... Moved a hot tub by myself, and litterly everything I own as well just a couple years ago when I moved. 8)

Man, has it been that long?

Here is the latest update.
I was actually in the garage seam sealing and water proofing my tent and something occured to me....I havent put any pics on here in a while
Im getting ready to spend a week in the Colorado mountians doing some elk hunting.

I have other passions besides my LUV, hunting is one of them. And like everything else it costs money. So LUV is on hold till after the season.

But here are some pic's. I'm only using spray paint on these parts. I figured 3 or 4 coats will hold up fairly well.
