I believe for some reason I like the looks of the 4 door better, I believe it would be a pretty sweet ride. Making the chrome that goes all the way back like that is what I think makes it look so well, maybe hard to pull off. I say go for it! 8)

Definately the more door. The 2 door looks out of proportion somehow.

first one looks like a blazer..kinda

second one looks like one of them old wagons... which I think is awsome

pretty easy to do it on paper or computer... but you better have some mad body skills to actually do it.... seems like alot of work... but would be well worth the effort

I would go with the 4 door.
I like that design now that i'm seeing an actual picture, i figured that the rear door would look better kinda curved along with the rear wheel well, but i've changed my mind, that type of design wouldnt suit the luv, it wouldnt look original (as a 4 door luv)
know what i mean?

also, i am a fan of big wheels but those just look plain stupid.

For some reason the body line you are creating is looking somewhat like a 67 Nova Wagon 4 door with a Luv front and side body line. I like it! Would also prob be your best result at finding the drip-rail chrome. I hope it turns out as well as I picture. If it does it would be a bad ride. 8)

After looking at the pics i might just say;

Why re-invent the wheel? Wouldnt it be easier to just do up an Isuzu Florian station wagon????

This is the best pic of a wagon i could find
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isuzu_Florian

Heres a sedan. Its a Luv but a little different at the front and totally different underneath.

Rodeobob-----Are there many of those Florian left in the great country of Australia and if so how can i get a straight front bumper, and maybe a front air dam like one on the orange car. Also from the pics you posted it looks like the finders and hood are the same as or trucks.

Nah they are flat across the front and the radiator support is different.

They arent that common here. If you find one it will be rusty.

Why not??? lol.

Thats the way we Aussies do it.

Our local (large) cars come in all different forms all off the one platform. Sedan, Wagon, Ute. (In the case of the Holden you could get the Coupe (GTO) and a Cab chassis and a 4dr ute dubbed the Crewman.)

Years back you could get; Sedan, Coupe. On a 2" longer wheel base Statesman (4dr luxo barge), Wagon, Ute, Pannel van, (longer again) Cab chassis.
4 different fronts and a few different trim specs. 3.3L 6cl - 5L V8 (in the early model you could get a 350ci Chev)
So yeah big line up for one model.

Back before the Florian and Luv Isuzu had the Belett and the ute derivative of that was called the Wasp. They been at it for years me thinks.

Bob
