Last night I got to put in my 2inch blocks in the rear and I lowered the front roughly 1 or 1 1/2.The front sits about a quarter inch from the bumpstops. Before I lowered the front it had about 1 inch of travel and it rode really soft.If I shorten the bumpstop to get back an inch of travel will it ride the same as it did before I lowered it?Will I need an alignment if its under a 2 inch drop in the front?I cant drive the truck because they gave me the wrong size nut in the block kit for the u bolt.I will get some pics up after I get to drive it.

Go buy some air shocks. Then you could change it if you wanted to. Thats what I put on my Chevelle.

You can cut the bumpstops but your ride will not be exactly the same as it was. I would cut the bumpstops to get some travel, then get a set of lowered shocks which are slightly stiffer than stockers to make up for the decrease in tension on the front end. It should ride fine like that :D

This is an option too but if you take the bump stops all the way out, Get some old inner tube or something to attatch to the bump stop bracket or you will get a loud banging sound when you bottom out. You should definitely get it aligned one you are satisfied with the stance or you will chew up tires big time :D

well thanks for clearing that up

Most people don't have a plasma in their garage and the ones that do would probably not ask a question like this one. I was just giving him an option:wink:
