I read the post for the 86 trooper power steering swap but I cant seem to find a 86 trooper donor. wondering what else will work on a 79 4x4 luv.

'84 or '85 Trooper will work even better, they used the same engine series as the LUV so any bracketry that bolts to the engine is a direct swap, no mods needed.

how does it attach to the frame is it bolt in or serious modification

Power box bolts to the frame using the same holes as the manual box. I think you may have to enlarge some of the holes. The steering shaft needs modified to mate to the power box.

There's an '88 Trooper 2.3 at the U-Pull-It near me. Would that work?
