alrighty
so acrylic enamel does turn out good? i have the option of acrylic enamel or acrylic laquer... the laquer costs quite a bit more so if i an make enamel look good with some clear i will be happy
and i agree completely tilted that is the crappiest look. if your gonna do a paint job its a PAINT JOB. not a bunch of paint sprayed on a truck. i want it to look great in the sun and still look good on cloudy days ya know?
going to do the outter body, door jams, engine compartment & interior
But before i paint it i gotta finish the body work. got a dent in the front of the hood and one in the lower corner of the bed from a bent bumper. im replacing the big @$$ mirrors that are on it, and am going to put the smaller more sleek looking mirrors from a car on it and paint to match
gotta get new seats also... mine are trashed. thinking about adapting the bench seat i pulled out of a volkswagon pickup for putting in the bed in the summer. would be nice to have the extra seating spot.
may i ask what color was used for that ford? it looks kinda like the paint i was looking at from paintforcars.com
http://www.paintforcars.com/aep_sapphirebluemet.html... i would like to buy about a half gallon of each color and a half gallon of clear and do a clean two tone job with some flake in the clear to make it stand out in the sun.
i am thinking i would like to go a dark blue (like that metallic saphire) on the lower half, and a deep dark purple on the upper half.
but im still deciding on colors. i just think those two would go together well
