LUV back axle is only 54" wide WMS to WMS, Cherokee is probably 60", maybe wider. Cherokee front is a Dana 35, so it's strong enough but it's driver side drop, different lug bolt pattern & who knows what gear ratio, would require new tranny & tranfer case. It would be a lot easier to cut off the coil mount hardware and convert to leafs. Can be done but will be difficult and expensive. The absolute easiest SAS conversion for a LUV is a Toyota pickup, '84 or '85 preferred (stronger), it's the same width, probably has the correct 4.10 gears, only requires fabbing the spring perches & adapting the steering and front driveshaft.
