all right, i put my motor in and i bought a set of block hugger headers and they don't go on. the collector hits the cross member and the flange is about 3/8 of an inch fronm sitting flush on the head. what do i need to do and has anyone else run into this problem? can the headers be bent a little to fit flush or maybe something else. help!

Maybe some S10 V8 headers. They dump out the back too. JEGS has them pretty cheap I think, or summit.

Ben has a Chevy V8 Luv truck install on the site here and I think they used Hooker headers and motormounts.

sanderson makes shortie headers that dump out the back. I used some on a 4x4 S-10 blazer I put a V8 in.

I run Patriot Tight Tuck Headers which I purchased from JEGS, though the way I have my motor mounted is kind of unusual. In mounting my 350 I chopped the rear lip off of the original frame mounts and added 1.25" of steel plate to the front lip. In doing this, on my truck, the headers clear any obstruction by 1/8". Here is the site for the Tight Tucks.... http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ ... rmenbr=361

Bryan, I would like to take a look at the headers in Your truck. I have got rid of torsion bars almost coilover finished. My problem is I'm running Mustang II rack, it mounts to the bolt in crossmember. I work in Woodinville for Fitz Auto. Get back to me
