I have a 1980. Is it easy to change the headlamps from 2 to 4 lamps? Does the single headlamp bucket swap out with the dual version? I know the grill would have to be replaced but is all of this plug and play?

So, what do I need in terms of parts? I am assuming;

1.) New Grill (What years work?)
2.) 2 new headlamp pockets (What years work?)
3.) 2 new dual headlamp bezels (What years work?)
4.) 2 new lamps
5.) Anything else?????

Thanks.

The later trucks (2 headlamp system) do not have fuses for the extra high beam bulbs. I am converting to a 4 lamp system and will use the high beam signal to run a relay with power from the battery direct with inline fuses.

so is there a reason you all are upgrading/downgrading from single 7" to dual 5 3/4" head lights? other then say looks?

your also going to have to rewire the head light pig tail to run power to the inside light

(unless you want to run dual high/low) then run all 4 light for high/low beam (h4 pig tail you can find them on ebay)
