-What size gap do you have on both sides (cab side and fender side ?)

-Are there or were there shims on the doors or fenders ?

-Did you drill any alignment holes ?

The shims are eeeevil if you forget one, add one too many ect.

you didnt pinch the head light wires or side markers between the fender and body did you that would give about 1/2 inch gap

Do the inner fenders or framing structure look out of whack to where you think that truck has been punched in the nose ?

When messing with the door, remember you can make changes in 6 directions. If it is hitting the fender it could be that the door is too far out or in. The other thought that comes to my mind is that there may be a little bit of bow to the fender that shouldn't be there. The two bolts at the bottom of the fender have some play to sort of stretch the fender out a little so you could try to pull down that bottom lip or push in on the middle of the fender while you tighten them down.

They can be a bear to get aligned right, but at least LUV doors are not that heavy. Try holding up a 200lb 76 Camaro door with one hand while trying to tighten the bolts with the other. :)
