i've sat for a long time thinking about that.
thats what i wanted to do so i could keep my 4 wheel drive.

i've heard it's possible but have never heard of anybody doing it. :?

as you can see in the picture below theres way much more to a turbo than you'd think ( atleast i did ). this is a 2 liter motor too. i've heard you could swap out the heads and it would work. you also gotta find a way to make the fuel injection work.

so my thought it would just be easier to swap out the whole motor.
i've looked everywhere and couldn't find nothin. let alone find a impulse that had turbo.. :(

it would be sweet though wouldn't it :o i bet a luv would be nice with turbo and a good exhaust :D
if you do find a way let my ass in on the secret. i atleast want a turbo until i could afford a 350.

i have been researching on the net about it i found that you can make an electric turbo out of leaf blower or shop vac change with high volume oil pump and probably oil pan and i heard you should use stock cam dont know why they say it runs better

just seeing if anyone here has put a turbo in theirs yet

hey bcg if i accomplish this yes i will share with everyone :D

i've love to find a way of running a turbo/supercharger on my carbed pickup. a little bit more simplistic, but i can't seem to find anyone who makes any parts that would work on a toyota motor(outside of a 22RTE)

Yeah, no shit. Too bad the inverter to power it is ~$75....

Lots and lots of wet wet leaves right now. I hate winter...

I am designing a turbo set-up using a mitsubishi turbo. All I need to find is a side draft carb with abut the same cfm as a 32/36 weber. Any suggestions?

i think a 40 DCOE is the smallest side draft they make. not that much bigger than a 32/36 but might kick a little more ass with 2 of them

I am getting the engine rebuilt with a bigger cam and more compression before I finish the turbo setup, so more cfm might not be a bad thing. Thanks

Probably gonna run 8.5 or 9 to 1. I don't want to have it too radical, it is still a daily driver. It is gonna be lifted with a set of 33 inch boggers. I wanted more power in the mud, and this might be the answer.

I had a 70 blazer with 18 inches of lift, a 400 horse 327, military axles, and 44 inch tires. 5.87 gears, and lockers at both ends too. I have built a couple of mudders before. Is stock compression more than 9 or less than 8.5? I am thinking of a turbo 2.0 out of an impulse.
