A 2004R wont swap to a standard LUV engine, if you have swapped to a more common GM engine then it might be applicable.

im going to convert the luv to a v8 .im going to put in a chevy 355 with the 200 4r transmission but i researched that the 200 4r has the mounting holes 6.5 inches more back than the 700r4 0r 350 I just wanted to know if that is not going to be that bad of a problem?

Why not just go with a 700? Is the 200 a better trans?

Both will work. Your long term plans might make the difference.

gear ratios for the 200r4 are more appealing if you are just doing normal driving.

ratios are

1st: 2.74
2nd: 1.57
3rd: 1.00
4th: .67
