Might want to take a look at the distributor in the 1.9, if it's there. Keeping the electronic unit (if so equipped) is a really nice upgrade. There are a couple of threads here on how to wire it up.

You'll need to swap out the oil pan, I think...

Good luck, let's see some pics of your new rig!

It's a bolt-in swap except:

As nukeday said, the oil pan. Not because of the engine size but because of the 4wd. The oil pans on the 4x4s have a divit in them to clear the front differential. Your old oil pan will fit the new motor.

Depending on the engine, it might not have the threaded holes in the head for the air injection rail. I bought a G200, don't know what it came out of, and it didn't have the holes. From an 80s pup however, you should be OK.

If you use your existing intake/exhaust, etc., you won't see a real performance improvement, however if it gets your truck running, I'm sure it's worth it.

Aaron, trail_racer just did a 2x to 4x install with the engine I had...
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=16386

Might want to check with him, as far as any details on installation.

He's relatively close by too, not sure what condition his head was in on the engine he removed, but if you just need valves it might be worth checking in with him.
