Hey, ive got this plan to put a 345 hp ls1 engine with the t56 6-speed transmission and plan on just shortening up the driveshaft and use the aluminum one off the trans-am but what rear end would fit in the back and still hold up to that much torque because ive heard that the luvs rear-end is weak. And what should i do about brakes since there kind of important?

I like Ford 9 inch rear ends, some like and run a 12 bolt. There is no one rear end only, but the stock one will have to go.

the stock will hold awhile but it will go sooner or later, i have a 9 inch it works just fine.
