Hey Ive got an 80 chevy luv to but its a 2 wheel drive but they are basicaly the same um ok let me get in to this here its not too hard but it gets you to do plenty of arm work. first you must remove the drive shaft of course. then you must un bolt the tranny and either completely remove it or just push it back and tie it up very tightly because you dont want her falling on you, you know. then you will see the clutch shroud when you remove that it may take a few swings of a hammer to get it off depending on how long its been on there but it should come off but you must be sure when puting the new one in you must use the little blue stick thingy to line up every thing just right. if you take it to an auto shop they will charge you up th butt but hey ive had to do it six times two to mine and four to my friends luv so i know what im talking about well got to go tell me how things whent ok. bye

it'd pretty self explanitory if you just take your time doing it.....

get it up on ramps and block it well ...drop the driveline, and put a floor jack under the tranny.....

pull all the bolts out (engine, tranny mount....) gently slide the trans back till you can set it down. pull the throwout beraing off the trans input shaft and replace it....take the pressure plat off and check the flywheel for wear... if it's grooved take it off and get it machined(doesn't cost much) if has some glase on it rough it up with some 200 grit sand paper till it's dull.

get a pilot bearing puller and replace that thing while you can....slip the alighnment tool through the disk, set that into the pilot hole and bolt the press plate up to the flywheel.....

after that it goes back together the same way it came apart.....

if you have a problem getting the input shaft all the way into the disk, have a buddy slip the driveline onto the tranny and turn it slowly while you slide the trans back into position.....

damn that was a lot of typing....time for a beer....or two ....or three.......:drinking: :drinking: :drinking:
