Can someone with a front disc brake set up please make me a template of the bracket that the caliper bolts to so I can have some made. Havent had luck finding any to convert my 75 so I ll have to get my co worker to make them. He did a set for his s-10 rock crawler and his new buggy crawler but he had to have something to go by. Thanks for any help.

As mine are currently sitting on the shelf waiting for eventual assembly, I can make templates and take some measurements for you with little trouble. I will be in the garage tomorrow evening and will start then, if nobody else responds.

I think the 4wd ones are different than the 2wd ones. Thanks for that offer though. Mines a 2wd. Guess I shouldve mentioned that.

Hey Bighappy I have a 75 with the disc conversion done to it, mine is a 2wd as well...... my question is what are you trying to do? Are you just wanting to just do a disc conversion? Are you looking to get your discs from another luv or are you looking at something different to get your discs from? I was just wondering, I mean if you can find a donor 78 everything just swaps right out! Fortunately I found one member who had an extra front end from a 78 he didnt need so I got the whole front end and swapped it out. It took about four hours from start to finish. Well just my two pennies!

I would LOVE to get a donor truck, but I live in IL, and apparently Luvs are like dinos here. Ive called every yard around, done a parts search on different sites, posted two posts here and havent found dick. I started searching for the stuff last spring when I bought the truck. So if I have to have them made so be it. The brackets my freind has made fit perfectly on his rigs, so I know he can do it. I just need the specs or templates. Hell, if hes up for it, I ll see if he would make a bunch and spread the wealth.

Oh well.
I have traced the templates and will also send some pictures to better show just how they look.

Has anyone ever looked in to swapping spindels to something like pinto there all disk front ends And we use pinto spindels on our modified stock car so i know there strong enough and the make a bracket you can bye at the race shops to mount 10" GM disks and calipers to them .................and thats my two cents
