Are you asking about what's under the hood or what's under the dash?

You talking about the bracket the pedals swing from? That thing breaks frequently in LUV's.

Go back to this topic I started. Clutch/Brake pedal arm mount bracket. Good info there. I'm just finishing installing a new bracket I ordered from the local Chevy dealer. Got it in less than a week. The welds are spot, so you might want to run a bead. Expecially around the standoff that the clutch hangs from. I even got a piece welded between the standoff and the main bracket at the bottom to keep it from twisting. Plus a piece re-inforcing the the side right aft of the standoff. Thats where mine split. The part number is 094027039.

When you get your new Clutch assembly, reinforce it, as Robertcda has said. These things are a ***** to get out of there, and keep replacing. Some guys have replaced these a few times now, then they reinforced it and its all good. Just a crappy design, but nothing a bit of welding and fabricating can't improve. :)

Forgot to mention that the bracket costs $70. In case I wasn't clear, when I was writing about welding the bracket, I meant the new one.
