Back with updates. Finally there is a brown wire under the ash tray that powers the blue wire int he switch and from there you control the blower.
The blower works with the engine off.
My controller has 2 speeeds and maybe thats why my resistor is with 2 terminals.
So that problem is solved
Next thing is the gauges,i ve noticed 2 terminals in the back(check the photo). But there is only one wire that plugs in the one behind the fuel gauge and i think that is for the temperature.
Anybody knows what is the other for?
The brake light on the dash what is it for?Is it for the e-brake?Is there a switch somewhere?I remeber mine working but now is dead.(checked the bulb and it is ok)
But there is only one wire that plugs in the one behind the fuel gauge and i think that is for the temperature. On my 1979 the one behind the fuel gauge is for the oil light. It's a yellow and white wire, should be able to test it by hooking up the cluster, removing the sensor clip from the oil sender & grounding it out.
Anybody knows what is the other for? That's the one for the temperature, should be a black wire with a yellow stripe & you can test it the same way - remove the clip on from the sensor under the manifold and ground it & heat light should come on.
The brake light on the dash what is it for?Is it for the e-brake?Is there a switch somewhere?Yep, for the e-brake. Not required for the truck to run, but nice to have. The switch is held down by a little metal tab on the ebrake handle down by the firewall, when the ebrake is pulled the switch closes. pic attached
EDIT: I should've rotated that pic 90 degrees clockwise before I uploaded it - the silver tab that is pointing down in the picture points toward the driver's side.
also you might want to download this wiring diagram if you don't have it, can be very helpful!
