after doing the tune up to my 74 luv this weekend. I've decided to upgrade my carburetor but quite not sure what to go with could someone please lead me in the right direction which modelto go with with my stock 74 Luv. I removed the sMog stuff. any suggestions are appreciated thanks Guys.

weber 32/36 dgev if you want electric choke. there is a kit to adapt it to a stock intake.
there is also a mechanical choke and a temperature activated choke option

Choke hooks up to key on power and after a bit the coil heats up enough to open if fully.

Ok so ive decided to go with the carburetor with the electric choke I found it on redline Weber but I didn't see the adoption kit.

Hook it to the same wire that powers the electronic choke on your stock carb. There are only a couple wires hooked to the carb, us the one that has power when the key is on.

He might have a manual choke on his carb now. The easy way is to make a wire from the coil with a 3 amp or so fuse in line.


EDIT. Scratch what I said, the wiring schematic shows a 74 does have a electric choke. Like what was said before, wire it up like the old carb. Before you do any work on this truck get a manual, sounds like you might need one.

Looks like a manual choke. Wire up the new card as what was mentioned above.
