Guys I have the carb on except the linkage. The kit says to use the one with the carb kit but I have seen on you tube that you can use the stock linkage. How did you do it?

I think (repeat THINK, don't know) what you need to do is replace the Weber bellcrank with the one from the stock carb. The stock linkage acts as if you had rotated the Weber linkage about 90 degrees so that the pull from the accelerator cable winds up at about horizontal as the throttle is fully opened. The Weber linkage starts opening the throttle at almost a horizontal pull and ends at a downwards angle, which is hard to get with the throttle cable clamp location. Take the nut loose from both carbs, see if the stock bellcrank has the same slotted fitting as the Weber.

I know the bell crank off of the Hitachi will bolt on the Weber...but I was wondering why.I will finsih it this weekend and just use the bell crank off of the Hitachi....the more I have thought about it it makes more sense to use the geometry design for the vehicle.
