Did you do a oil change while doing the head gasket? I usually do then flush the oil system after a hour of running.

I am guessing a 79. If you have a cooling system pressure checker I would pump it up to 10lbs and see if it drops. I am guessing you never got the coolant out of the oil system when you did the head gasket.

Minitrucker.....Did you actually have the head magnafluxed? I had that problem and though you couldn't actually see it, my head was cracked. Had to get a new one--rebuilt. Though yours may just be residual H2O from the first job. It's a real pain in the..... to take it off again. Did you run the cylinder compression? Sometimes the head gasket will leak next to the #2 cylinder. There is a pressure oil gally there and If you didn't get the head torqued correctly, it could leak there. Check the torque before you pull the head again......

I might be wrong but I thought you could not magnafluxed, it has to be pressure checked.

Luvrv8....I think you're right. I remember now that the head exchange shop had to 'cover all the holes' and pressure test it. Thanks.....
