I need to replace the ORIGNAL turn signal/ dimmer switch combo on my 1979 base model LUV... All the auto stores say it is a floor mount switch but mine is on the column... Is there any web site that has the original (correct original) equipment? 1979 1.8 L / 3 speed auto

Then is mine a one off oddball? I always end up with those. Or is that just some generic "replacement"... What does yours have? Floor mount dimmer or column?

No,yours is not an oddball.
The 79 dimmer switch is in the turn signal assembly.
I could be wrong but I believe all of the LUVs had them located there.

your best bet will be at a junkyard or on this site. I doubt you'll find a new one anywhere.

what's wrong with yours? broken or just not working?

Just old... Dimmer switch starting to short and I have to disengage the right turn signal by hand.
