I'm confused, what rear input trans seal? The input is on the front the output (tailshaft) is at the rear. Output shaft seal is Timken #1987, same number for several different brands, fits 2wd for sure, should fit 4wd.
If you have a 4wd & are asking about the front driveshaft seal it is for the transfer case, not the tranny.

I agree. The "parts guy" you were "listoning to" is obviously not a mechanic.

That's not "one more question", it was basically what you asked in the first post--and I sent you the info via PM. Just tell Jerry what you're looking for, and he can probably get it.

Any good auto parts store should have them in stock. I did a quick check of the Autozone web page, they are listed. The last time I bought one they were a common in-stock part, & several different brands use the same #1987 part number, if they don't have Timken cross reference the number, get a different brand.
The problem with ordering one on-line or from Jerry is the shipping will be more than the seal.

He sends small parts via USPS flat rate envelope. It's usually a couple or three dollars for mailing. I guess that's true if it's a $3 part, but how much will you spend driving around town?

James, you probably oughta post that question in its own topic, since this topic is about getting transmission seals. There's a "New topic" button for that. Better yet, just go to:
Isuzu P'up 5-speed Swao...
