I bought a set of cadillac escalade wheels to put on my 1980 chevy luv. They bolt up just fine but the hubs on the front stick out too far to get the center caps on. I see lots of pictures with these same wheels on luvs so i know there is a way. Wheels spacers? But then can i still lower it? Different hubs or some kind of conversion kit. Any ideas help.

On the '81 and later LUVs/P'ups, folks bore out the centers. I don't know what the do to cover the hub after that.

Most people who run centercaps in the front with escalade wheels have to remove the dust caps, and run without the caps. If you could seal the center cap up enough you could get away with it.... Personally I wouldn't run them like that for a lot of reasons, but thats pretty much the only way to run them without adding wheel spacers to clear the dust cap.

I have 97 Chevy Tahoe wheels on mine and I used 1/4 inch wheel spacers to make mine fit. $9.99 ea at Pep Boys. the spacers bring the wheel out just past the flange in the wheel hub. just an idea.........
