I started working on the LUV since it broke the oil pump and this is what I saw. The belts were miss aligned so I took a closer look and to my surprise I can see balancer sticking out ready to fall off.

The belts were probably what kept it on. So, I'm guessing the bolt was gone?

I agree. Surprisingly the bolt was still there, came out by hand also. A few more miles I don't think the bolt or the balancer would have been there.

It does not hurt to look things over. Check all your bolts to see if they are tight also.

Make sure the hole is not stripped out... I have never had to use any, but you could blue locktite it.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

Will do. I use loctite on everything. Love the stuff. Usually if the bolt is torqued to spec it does not come off.
