i tried to a smart guy and take off my ac belt speaking ther is no freeon in the lines . i losed up one of the bolts on the compressor and i couldnt get the other side to losen so i started looking at it and i noticed the tensenor on the bottom. i started to losen that up and the bolt crack off. so i got madd and cut the belt....

Both of my tensioners had adjuster bolt problems too. I removed the whole thing, got a new bolt for it and put it back in.

You keep talking about installing a V-8 and pro-streeting your truck. If a A/C bolt is able to get the best of you I recomend not even thinking of mod'ing your truck. I bought my LUV with a small block and then moved the engine mounts, replaced the bed and cab, replaced a ton of messed up parts the the previous owner did, tub'd it my self , trust me, alot worse things then a stuck bolt will come up. If you do V-8 or pro street your truck get help, either from a friend or Prozak.
