My gas gauge never reaches full; more like 3/4. I figure it's either the gauge or the tank sender. Anybody have this problem? Is either adjustable?

Thanks

yes it is. you will need to remove the unit and adjust the float.

Before you go tearing into your gas tank: Does your temperature gauge read correctly? If your temp is also reading low, I would bet the problem is the instrument panel voltage regulator. If you look at the circuit diagram, you'll see that if you don't have a full 8 volts I believe it is then both your gauges will read low. Both the gauges on my truck read low, and I'm just living with it for now but in the future I will either adjust the stock voltage regulator or put in a solid state regulator. (There's a waveform that those bimetal regulators produce, it's not actually DC, so that might take some doing to get around to replace it with solid state).

The gauge regulator is just a relay looking thing that plugs into the back of the instrument panel circuit board. Usually easy to replace. Of course finding the correct replacement may be more difficult.
