Not to be rude but best of luck to you. Me and another member here got the last 2 dash's from Aus for about $800.00, no one else makes them and he wont make them anymore.

800 was a tough pill to take, but like drummer said only a couple of us in several years bought them. I would like to add, my dash is the first thing that people mention when they look inside of my truck, it does pull the entire truck together.

In my 76 LUV I have the proto type from AUS in it, it did take some work but I did get it to look correct.

Hey Tilted.... I just found tag # 14 ... lol

I've been reworking one of dashes w/ a cap from ebay
{ viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16900 }

What a project pieceing it back together 1st & then caping it
but i like working w/ my hands & have more time than money so i'm working it.

My question is NOW that some of you have Great Dashes... How are you protecting them ?
I'm even wondering if i should be covering up my plactic dash cap ?

You probably should cover the cap. I have one that is starting to get a couple high spots in it. Like large pimples. The truck sat all summer in so ca, closed up, in the sun, with a dash carpet and a towel over it. I think the heat got it.

My trucks does not sit outside anymore since I put the new dash in back in the early 90s, and I dont use armor all on it anymore either, been holding up awesome for 15+ years now.

LOL i know what you mean. I cut out the center of my dash between above the cigarette tray, I am going to put in 2 switches, an inverter volt/watt display, and two outlets.

I don't care how it looks!
