 Post subject: No fire

truck cranks , no fire , check between spark plugs and cap no fire , coil to cap no fire,
replaced cap , coil , magnetic plug under rotor, cap wire, spark plugs fuel filter

any ideas??????????

Were the tune up parts replaced before or after you had a no fire problem? What year truck?

truck is 81 and it was running before the changes it stopped a couple of weeks after

yes the parts were replaced before the truck is 81

maybe one of the wires wiggled loose . like one thatthat connects to the coil. thy to disconnect the coil, and check the wires to make sure they are all doing their jobs

'81 and up are a bit different from the earlier models I have experience with...

Here is a link to the wiring diagram for an '81. http://www.luvtruck.com/PDF/Series11.pdf

A common problem with the older trucks is the ignition switch, do you have a remote starter switch? Another problem on the older trucks is the fuse panel, a good cleaning and wire brushing makes a lot of difference for a lot of owners....

i don't know 81's but on my '80 i had the same problem and it was a fuse blown and i messed with it for a couple of days until i found it... might be worth checking

it was a 15 amp just forward of the radio one
