System is not charging an the Alt. was changed by last owner. I dont think it is fully connected as the wiring has a black wire I believe with a loop. I need to see where these connect to I think it is not grounded. Help me out

Nobody can help with this problem? I do not know where the black wire connects to. And running hot on warm days any ideas

The thicker wire with the eyelet goes from the post on the alt to the positive terminal on the battery.
The 3 pin plug is somehow involved with the voltage regulator & other stuff. :?
Did I mention I hate electrix?
I went to a 1-wire, internally regulated setup last year to toss the Vreg & clean up the bay some.

I seem to have an extra Has eyelet I did notice in the picture of the wiring above. shows 2 wires on the ground. maybe that is it needs 2 connected. Crap I'm lost

Here some photos of my alternator.
The alternator by itself is oem stock. The one mounted is 80 's isuzu.
The one not mounted if you look. It has a 2 wire pigtail that plugs into the truck wiring harness. On the upper left you will see the letter E thats were the little black grounding wire goes. The upper right has an A letter, Thats were the bigger black wire goes. Its the wire that goes to the battery.
