Anyone ever "repin" their door hinges? Mine have a pretty good amount of play in them, would like to replace... short of finding new set of hinges.

My set were messed up when I replaced my doors, so I just got every set of hinges they had in the yard (3) and I tried them all and found the best ones. . . not a great solution. I would love some info on re-pinning. Good luck man !

the top hinges are able to go on either side the bottom might work but it would be upside down and to me looked like it might not work right... i have got right hand top hinges and put them on the driver side and my door didn't sag any more

Cat: How do you get to the top hinges ? I only replaced the bottom ones and my doors sag a bit, would I need to remove the dash ?

No. If you have the door open, there are two hinges in the jamb.

The bottom ones have to be removed by taking off that little door, or in a mikado's case, a little vinyl panel. The top ones have bolts coming through from the dash side, I will get under it tommorow and see if the bolts are visible, cause god help me I will not take that dash apart.

it is possible to rebuild the hinge. the weak link is the plastic bushing that wears out over time. after that is gone you have metal on metal with no bearing surface. the pin can be driven out. best done in a press of some type, hydraulic or arbor. one side has splines on it and the other side is smooth. drive it out towards the splined side. i found a K&S brass tube that was the perfect size to shim the hinge pin. I also added a brass washer to take up the slop from the missing plastic bushings.
