Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. I think they are behind that metal cover on the inside of the right fender near the fire wall.

Yep...and it was hard as hell for me to find a replacement too.

If you find a place that sells new ones...please let me know.

Mine's good...but I sure could use a spare.

It is best to replace the stock one with a bosch style. I can help with the wiring, it is easy.

If the fuel relay only controls the fuel pump. You can run a new wire from a ignition switch (on) source to the pump. Then run a wire from the pump to the oil sending switch. You have to replace the oil sending switch with another switch (got one on my truck but don't know the number of the switch) that switch will be your ground source. It has three prongs on it. One prong you run a wire to a ground. Another prong you plug the oil sending wire on it. It will ground through the wire when the engine is not running. Plug the ground wire from the fuel pump to the other prong and when the engine starts producing oil pressure it switches to the other prong with the pump wire on it to grounding it causing the pump to start pumping.

The passenger side is the right side. When talking about any vehicle, right and left are always determined from sitting in the drivers seat. Except for crank shaft rotation. That is determined from standing in front of the vehicle looking at it.

does anyone know how to test the fuel pump relay? i am not getting power at my fuel pump. I am also not getting power on my anti dieseling solenoid on the carb. I assume the solenoid should be energized (open) when the ignition is turned on.

thanks

The pump only gets power when the key is turned to start or when the motor is running. If you are testing only the key is turned to on without the motor running you won't see any voltage at the fuel pump.

i think my relay is bad because the fuelpump is wired around the relay box and im not getting spark at the coil. there are wires going in to the same relay as the fuelpump? what do you tink? is this the same problem?
