After all the years I have worked on vehicles, I finally screwed it up, I feel so stupid and I am pissed, I have worked around aluminum heads along time, and it was a cool engine, I pulled a plug to see how the engine was burning fuel, and I should have washed that engine first, but after I checked it, I eased it in with my fingers, and cross threaded the damn thing, I have never done that before. So I hope I can fix it, with a steel insert. Either I crossed threaded or someone else did before me.

TJ is absolutely right. 20 years ago we bought a new Subaru. After pulling the plugs and setting the gap, I followed the owners manual and lubricated the plug threads with 30 weight oil. The next time I pulled them, it took me 2 days to pull 4 plugs. Penetrating oil, tap the plug socket and weight a couple of hours, turn the plug a quarter turn. Start the sequence again. I saved the threads. Lucky me. Luckily I knew about antiseize compound before I bought my LUV almost a decade ago.
