I need a front timing chain cover since the timing chain broke and put a hole in it. I took the valve covers off and found the timing gear with several broken teeth, and the cam gear was the same way. The timing chain looked like it went through a war - the fellow who had it before said the oil pump went out - but that wasn't the problem.

So now if I get those parts, I can get my newly acquired 81 4x4 on the road. And alarmingly, this had AC and there was only surface rust on it.

HELP!

No one has an engine they are throwing away and has a timing chain front cover?

I checked eBay and other sites and nope- nuttin. So I am stuck with the largest site of LUV around.

Yeah - I'm gonna need it. It is one of those things where I have a choice between a $1500 engine or a cheep timing chain cover.
