i really doubt that you're gonna be blowing stuff up on a luv motor with dual carbs. that guy makes it sound like you're running a supercharger on it or something

your stock drivetrain should probably be able to handle it fine

I agree, I think your biggest problem will probably getting them synchronized, not blowing stuff up.

Ok, I am starting to see what you want. All you really need is to bolt the setup on, assuming it doesnt need rebuilt, and get 2 vacuum gauges. I mounted 4 gauges to a 2x4 and use it on my kz-650. Plumb the gauges into your carbs, on a vacuum port. One gauge for one carb. Then start setting the air/fuel mixtures until your carbs are pulling the same amount of vacuum. Then set your idle speeds, and recheck your vacuum readings. I am not sure how many inches the luv should pull to make it run right, and not too rich/lean.

i don't see how dual carbs would affect rod bearings, you're only giving it more fuel and even if it was too much fuel it wouldn't hurt the engine, it would just burn rich or flood out. the only way it could hurt it is if you run it wide open and blow it up, but that goes for any carb.

the best place i found so far to get jets and other parts for the dellorto is cb performance in cali. they seem to have the best prices and availabilty. www. cbperformance.com. they mainly deal with vw stuff

Zounds! Krikies! What a Pain! I can't get mine to work right and I see someone wanting duals!

Kinda overkill for a 4 banger unless your doing a 2 Fast 2 Furious thing.

With a header & RV cam, I think the dual carbs would be pretty cool. The trick to any engine is to make it breathe & exhale better. Putting 2 carbs on a 4 cyl isn't "2 Fast 2 Furious" stuff. They were doin' that to the Ford 4 bangers back in the '40s & '50s!

just an FYI, dual carbs are at their best in mid to high range rpm, around 3500-5000. that's why they're popular in circle track racing.

and i doubt that really any of those fast and the furious guys even know what a carb is
