My Luv doesn't have any sort of unit in the dash and the black vinyl is all gone, so it's just a blue dash with a hole for a cd player. I put a sleeve from a cd player in the hole and the hole is too big. Also I cannot find an install kit that will work with this truck. What route have you all taken to install a headunit in your 1st gen LUV?

This is someone else's picture, but my dash looks just like this right now:

My CD player fit just fine in the stock location, is it possible yours has been cut to be bigger?

Alright I think I figured it out, the sleeve is just slightly smaller than the hole and the hole hasnt been cut. I see holes on the bottom, I'm guessing I can put screws through the sleeve into those holes to mount the cd player and wire it up and call it a done deal. Is this how you all mounted yours?

My radio has a sleeve that mounts and has tangs that push out and lock the sleeve to the dash, the front of it has a lip that won't go through the hole. The rear has a stud that a strap bolts to the dash and supports the rear of the sleeve or cage. After it is mounted the radio slides into the cage or sleeve.

Thanks, that will work, but I do not have the strap. I'll figure that out, thanks!
