 Post subject: holley help please

new at hotrods..i got a 850 dual feed holley.like i said rookie.been trying to get info off the net.ok what are the two screws small tiny screws on each side of the carb and what do they do and how many turn and the angle one on the right ide what is it called and do rookie help thanks :oops:

i think your talking about the float screws.... you remove the big screw above it while its at idle and adjust little screw til fuel just starts to leak out then your floats are set. replace big screw and your ready to go :wink:

Wrong.....

The little screws on either side are for your idle mixture ONLY. if you try to set them with it idled up to high your waisting your time. set the idle speed low then adjust them. normally 1 3/4 to 2 turns out is a good starting place. back them out till it runs rough then turn them in till it runs rough. then get right in the middle for a happy camper.

There are 2 right. One on each side. So, do one at a time I would think? I am in need of my holley to be tuned up as well.

yes there is 1 per side unless you got a 4 corner idle ( unlikely ). useually you can run it out of the box with a few minor adjustments. Idle and such
