i need help. if anyone could explain to me how this works i would greatly appreciate it

What is the relationship between Resistance & Amperage?

and

What is the relationship between Resistance & Voltage?

i just dont see how there is a relationship... of course im 18 and don't understand much, but it would be great to have an insight on the subject

Thank you

This is a good explanation. It seemed a little hard at first when I was going to school.

That one is cool.

Another one.

Play around with the values and see what happens.

I am not sure how to explain it. Our problem with instructors was they already knew it and did not know what we didn't understand... When one of us figured it out, we could help the others.

Thank you. That was really helpful, and that is how it is in school. we have to wait till one of the other students can figure out an easier way of explaining it

And just in case you think the need to know doesn't matter, I recently took a test for a job and 4 questions pertained to Ohm's law...

I kinda like this one, if you can manage to remember this symbol.

My memory works off of pictures, or mental snapshots, so I can remember stuff like this easier than text.

If you are still struggling, think about all the stuff in your house. Most of the wiring has about 120 volts. Your toaster has a fairly low resistance and the voltage will push 5-10 amps through it. A compact flouresent light has a very high resistance and the voltage may only be able to push less than a tenth of an amp through it.

Many things need very high power and run on 240 volts, dryers, water heaters, A/C, etc. The higher voltage pushes more amps through the same resistance.
