Dad just ordered from National. They took his credit card payment and thats it. No confirmation, no tracking #, The phone # to the company is a recording saying they no long take orders over the phone. One of the e-mail addresses came back undeliverable.

I cant find anything on the Internet saying that this outfit is bogus so im asking anyone here if they have any info.

My name is Shane,

I work for Nationalautopart.com please let me know what order you are talking about. We have seven locations nationwide and we ship out parts everyday. Your dad can log into his order history and view the tracking information on any order under account history. I know we ship out every order the same day as we get them, except for fenders and grilles go out the following day with dhl. Please note we get 30,000-60,000 customers hit our website everyday. We receive everday over 10,000 emails for parts requests. Also you dad would have received a instant quote for shipping that stated 3-5 business days. This concerns me when I read this due to if your father signed up for an account he would also have received an email automatically by signing up at nationalautopart.com that states he can review his order history, and also for every order that we receive I personally update the order as to what shipping method and our shipping dept. updates every order every evening with tracking numbers. (NO exceptions) We have junk yards and body shops buy parts from us daily, and have been in the automotive industry for almost 20 years. The owner also owns a Few body shops and car dealerships located in the midwest. Please if you do have any other questions or concerns please feel free to email me personally at shane@nationalautopart.com We are a reputable company and do appreciate due pay attention to all postings on our company.

Thanks, Shane

Hi Shane...
I originally wrote this post back on the 2nd of Aug. On Aug 4th, the grille arrived. It's true that we didn't have a tracking # or an estimated delivery date so we were in limbo on what was happening with the order. Dad was the one who placed the order and he didn't or couldn't find anyway to get info.
So this is why i asked the members of LuvTruck.com about dealing with National. And as you can see, there was no response good or bad.
And with the grille showing up 2 days later, this post was pretty much concidered a dead issue.
With that, i started a new post on getting the part painted. Here's a link to that post:

http://forums.luvtruck.com/viewtopic.php?t=11112

As you can see from the pictures, the grille is on the truck and it looks great!
After all is said and done, i have no reservations with ordering parts thru National in the future. Thank you for following up on this.
Take care and Merry Christmas.... John Lamphear

Ha ha ha. LOL I'm glad you got your grille, and I'm also glad this happened cuz now I've learned of more sources for parts. Good for Meanie doing his stump for Dad, and good for Shane standing up and telling it like it is. There's a whole list of links in National Auto Parts website, and everybody should shout hip hip hooray!!!! I saved it in my Bookmarks.
