I just ordered a 3" body lift kit from JC Whitney. Does anyone know if that is a quality kit? How much cutting/ is required? Does this kit include steering shaft extensions?
Thanks!

the kit SHOULD have the extension kit i would assume, Is it a "JC Whitney" brand body lift kit or is it "Perfomance Accessories" kit??? I have a PA kit in my S-10 and have had no problems with it, I also only have a 2" lift as I feel 3" is too much. And you run into problems with lines and steering shaft issues, and whatnot.

What do you meaning by cutting? :?

I have heard something about cutting a hole above the steering column, what is that for? I gues it's actually a PA body lift.

The hole in the fire wall where the steering shaft goes through will need to be opened up at the bottom for shaft clearance after the body goes up.

Are you sure it isn'e BELOW the steering column you're thinking...? Because lifting the body, won't cause a need for a hold ABOVE the steering shaft. Mo
