ok, first that wilma hurrican went from a catagory 2 to a catagory 5 overnight. and it supposed to go up and hit florida. but i doubt it will. my bet is itll get past cuba and mexico and hit lousiana and all those states again.

then second, there was just a 6.2 maganatude earthquake in tokyo. the news hasnt gotta any "news" about it, but damn, ... a 6.2! that had to have cause a hellofalot of damage.

and then thirdyly. in massachusets theyve been getting rain like nonstop and theres a dam that might break, in turn flooding a large area.

i dont know, but i think the shit starting to hit the fan. ive heard that theres a fault in the central US that could shift causing catastphic damage from chicago all the way to the rocky mountains. and then i heard that yellowstone park is like a big ol volcano that could just blow up.

theres just all these things goin on. kinda makes ya think, eh?

Ya, been hearing more than the normal amount of "end of the world" talk in restaurants and stuff. Kinda makes you wonder though. Hurricanes and earthquakes aren't related as far as I know. :)

And all I have to worry about is the volcanos in my backyard.... relatively speaking of course...

BTW you forgot about the quake in Pakistan...

It does seem like there is a lot of stuff going down this year. Compared to the worst of the last couple million years though, this is nothing. You mentioned Yellowstone, it is one of the largest known volcanoes in the world. Check this out: http://www.yellowstonenationalpark.com/calderas.htm This bit kind of sums it up: "2400 times as much as Mt St. Helens". St Helens is about 80 miles from me. The blast was loud, and It left us with an inch of ash.

There is also another caldera volcano about 1/2 the size of Yellowstone on the Cali/Nevada border at Long Valley, and another somewhat smaller one near Los Alamos. Lucky for us these things only blow once every million years or so.

I look at it like this, we could all be squashed like bugs at pretty much any time, so we might as well enjoy the show. I hate to see people suffering, but I'd rather let it inspire me to greater things that sit around depressed.

I worked for a guy once who was a huge God freak and he would jump op that end of the world trip EVERYTIME something happened. I beleive in God and I beleive in the natural accurance of storms and such. Theres only one way to find if theyre related. Only time will tell I guess.
